  4. Favorite sushi memory....2nd date with my fiance, he tried very hard to impress me and knew I loved sushi but he had never eaten it before so he decided to take me out. I convinced him to let me order and to just taste everything once without asking what it was....I will never forget his face when I told him the bite he had just taken of what he thought was delicious meat was EEL! It was priceless!

  9. Favourite sushi memory is treating my whole family out for sushi as a celebration of my gramma's 85th birthday. My family usually doesn't venture outside of what they know so this was a huge deal! I tried to order mostly cooked foods first so that they feel ok, and then when the sashimi and sushi came, much to our surprise, everyone LOVED it! Now it's become a family tradition to go for sushi when we need to celebrate anything! Thanks for the chance!

  10. I loved going to Japanese Village with my parents when I was younger, and my favourite was tuna maki! I remember my Grade 1 teacher asking all the kids what their favourite food was, and I proudly stated, "Makis!" Haha unfortunately she didn't know what that was and neither did the other children....

  12. My first time ever trying sushi I was absolutely terrified. When the waiter brought out my plate I was really concerned I would hate it. My first bite was tuna with some sort of delicious sauce...I was shocked! It was so good, I now love sushi!

  15. One of my favourite experiences with sushi is to do so by enjoying it's unique flavours. Nowadays, I don't put soya sauce or wasabi because I want to taste the sushi in its purest form for the greatest delight! To me, high quality sushi is fantastic and doesn't need add-ons.

  23. Yes! Sometimes, sushi with family is a hard one as they usually prefer to eat 'cooked'. My Mom is starting to slowly like sashimi, but only certain types of fish.

Needless to say I was convinced into trying some at Edo Japan and it was a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed it and have had plenty of sushi since then.
